HiTone is now doing GuitarToons

I have started a new website called GuitarTree. The website is for guitar players to find guitar builders. It coming along. One of the things I wanted to do was have a cartoon on the site. My charater is named T-Bone Pick'ns. Check it out here.

I 'm having a contest to fillin the punch line for T. See if you can come up with something.

The Ultimate CBG

I have been busy with my latest Cigar box guitar creation. Built for local Texas player, Justin Broderick. He's played with many acts including the Peach Truck Republic. His playing ability inspired the amount of design that went into this instrument. Most of my CBG's are just a simple wood neck. This one has a four ply maple neck with a traditional truss rod and rosewood fretboard. The pickup is a Fender noiseless. I will add some audio and maybe even some video soon.

Also a big thanks to Frank McCright (DJ Love) for being the proud owner of the Sunburst HiTone Classic. Frank can be heard on his record labels site, Stellar Music.

Lil' Monster

I've recently Created a monster. A friend purchased a small child guitar at a garage sale. He brought it to me and asked what I could do with it. This is my creation.

This guitar started out life as a tiny guitar and ended up a Big Hot Rod.

The concept was to beef it up as much as possible. I added two GFS humbuckers and black Gotoh tuners and a five way switch. The finish is a flat black. It really highlights the silver very well. The last item the client wanted was a 12-sided die. I'm still working on that item.
